Pelindo I Cooperates with 15 SOEs

PT Pelabuhan Indonesia/Pelindo I (Persero) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with 14 State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) to improve its business.

The cooperation covers the development of ports, properties, piloting services, and bank service.

President Director of Utama Pelindo I, Bambang Eka Cahyana said the synergy with the SOEs aims to increase the performance and services of Pelindo I by optimizing all resources to build Indonesia maritime industry.

“The cooperation is expected to give added-value for Pelindo I and other SOEs in developing its businesses,” said Bambang in Jakarta, yesterday.

Pelindo I cooperated with PT Pembangunan Perumahan (Persero) Tbk (PTPP) to expand Ports of Kuala Enok, Batu Ampar, Batam and cargo terminal of Port of Pelintung.

Meanwhile, in the property sector, the company has a plan to collaborate with PT Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk (ADHI), and PT Pertamina Bina Medika in health service sector.

“We also cooperated with PT Pengusahaan Daerah Industri Pulau Batam (Persero) in developing the tourism of Tanjung Pinggir Batam,” noted Bambang.

On another hand, Pelindo I work together with PT Pelindo II (Persero) dan PT Djakarta Lloyd (Persero) to promote piloting service in Malacca Straits.

Bambang said other collaborations on assets insurance closing with PT Asuransi Jasa Indonesia (Persero) dan PT Asuransi Kredit Indonesia (Persero) were set up, while the life insurance of employees with PT Taspen (Persero).

Pelindo also in partnership with PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk in Supply Chain Financing (SCF), cashless transaction with PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, and PT Bank Central Asia (Persero) Tbk.

“In publication and documentation, Pelindo I associates with PT Balai Pustaka (Persero), National News Agency Antara (SOE), and Perum Produksi Film Negara,” he noted. (Ast/Pas)
